Image Annotation: Surface transplant of the A-5 line of human HaCaT immortalized keratinocytes after growth as a monolayer on a collagen type I matrix. The grafted A-5 epithelium has taken, shows evidence of differentiation, but does not invade the underlying collagen matrix, which has gradually been replaced by host granulation tissue.
