Mouse - Skin - skin_030.tif
Image Name: skin_030.tif
Image Annotation: PIN-GI The H&E stained sections are from the lateral and ventral prostate of a 46 week old probasin:rasxmxl1 +/+ male mouse. The normal architecture of one lobe of the lateral prostate is replaced by papillary and in some areas cribriform proliferations that fill the lumens in several glands. Many of the proliferating cells have enlarged, atypical, pleomorphic nuclei with distinct nucleoli (PIN). Occasional mitotic figures are present. In some glands the hyperplastic epithelium contains numerous goblet cells. The fibromuscular stroma has mixed, predominantly mononuclear inflammatory infiltrates of variable density.
