Image Annotation: Human abdominal skin grafted onto a SCID mouse and injected intradermally with an adenoviral vector encoding bFGF after two injections a week apart. The epidermis is acanthotic (hyperplastic), contains atypical cells, and overlies a thickened dermis that is fibrosed and contains several blood vessels reminiscent of those seen in granulation tissue (see also skin_80-81)
