Image Name: skin_106.tif
Image Annotation: Higher power view of basaloid follicular neoplasm depicted in skin_105. Portions of the tumor are composed of islands or nests of tumor cells that have a jigsaw puzzle-like arrangement, separated by dense, eosinophilic basement membrane-like material. The nests have a prominent peripheral layer of basaloid cells surrounding slightly less basophilic cells with central deposits of the eosinophilic material. This morphology closely resembles that of human cylindromas and somewhat resembles that of human spiradenomas.
