Image Annotation: Basaloid follicular neoplasm arising in a Patched+/- mouse treated with ionizing radiation. This image was taken from another region of the tumor depicted in skin_130 and shows anastamosing cords of basaloid cells with a prominent peripheral palisade of hyperchromatic cells, a cellular stroma, and scattered hair germ-like structures. The peripheral palisade of hyperchromatic cells also resembles that seen in human spiradenoma and to some extent, human basal cell carcinoma.
