Leukemic cells develop primarily around the hepatic portal triads but are also dispersed throughout the hepatic parenchyma. Spleen is largely replaced by leukemic cells, scattered megakaryocytes, and islands of dark erythroid cells are present. Small areas of residual lymphoid white pulp are also seen. Sternal bone marrow is filled with leukemic cells, infiltration into surrounding musculature is also seen. 200x
