Image Annotation: This slide illustrates the distribution of synaptophysin in lesions from a TRAMP male mouse using the immunoperoxidase technique to identify the antigen. The specimen has areas of high and low grade PIN, poorly differentiated tumors that are readily identified by their dark brown stain. The anti-synaptophysin stains the cytoplasm of the tumor cells. Higher magnification reveals that the tumor stroma has a "fibrillar" pattern.
