Mouse - CNS - cns_021_fig_c.tif

cns_021_fig_c.tif submitted by William Weiss

Image Name: cns_021_fig_c.tif

Image Annotation: This slide illustrates the distribution of cytokeratin 8 (CK*) in lesions from in TRAMP male mouse using the immunoperoxidase technique to identify the antigen. The specimen has the expected areas of atypical luminal cell hyperplasia surrounded by hyperplastic stroma and several poorly differentiated tumors. Note that CK8 is limited the epithelium and that the dysplastic epithelium stains more intensely that the normal cells. One of the undifferentiated tumors has a combination of areas with adherent, epithelial-type cells and sheets of undifferentiated cells. The cells have CK8 positive perinuclear granules that are characteristic for neuroendocrine tumors. Slide MP29 demonstrates the anti-synaptophysin stain on this case and MP30 demonstrates the H and E.
