Normal Mouse Hematopoiesis and Classification of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Neoplasms in Mice

A broad spectrum of lymphoid and non-lymphoid (myeloid) hematopoietic neoplasms have been observed in mice. Under the auspices of the MMHCC, the Bethesda Proposals for the Classification of Lymphoid and Non-lymphoid Neoplasms in Mice have been developed. These proposals were published in BLOOD in the summer of 2002. Links to these articles and their on-line supplementary material:

The MMHCC hematopathology sub-committee is continuing its work and invites your participation:
1. A project to further characterize and classify lesions including detailed immunophenotypic analysis is on-going. If you wish to participate please click here.
2. The committee is developing a comprehensive list of available models with links to publications
3. Proposals for classification need continuing refinement.
4. Additional protocols are being assembled

Investigators are invited to contact Scott Kogan (skogan@cc.ucsf.edu) if they wish to contribute to these ongoing projects (see Appendix II).
