Information on how to obtain KOMP products, including targeted vectors, ES cells, mice, sperm, and embryos

The KOMP (Knockout Mouse Project) Repository is the sole archive and distribution repository for vectors, ES cells, and mice generated by the KOMP mutagenesis centers. Supported by an NIH cooperative agreement (U42 mechanism) to the University of California, Davis (UCD) and its subcontractor, Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI), the KOMP Repository ensures the preservation, protection, availability, and accessibility of KOMP resources for use by the scientific community. The repository is based upon the closely linked infrastructure, technical support, and faculty expertise within the UCD Mouse Biology Program, Center for Comparative Medicine, the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, and the CHORI-BACPAC Resource. UCD archives, maintains, and distributes ES cell clones, live mouse lines, and frozen embryos and sperm, while CHORI archives, maintains, and distributes all vectors.

Approximately every two months, the KOMP Repository acquires vectors, ES cells, and mice from the two KOMP mutagenesis teams, the CSD Consortium (CHORI, Sanger Institute, and UC Davis) and Regeneron.

The following mouse strains are available as live mice for a limited time and will soon be taken off the shelf. Once cryo-archived, these strains will only be available as cryopreserved germplasm or mice from cryo-recovery. Order Now!
