The NCI Mouse Repository distributed 1,589 mice and completed 26 germplasm shipments in FY2012. International transfers accounted for approximately 26% of this total for live animals as well as 26% of germplasm shipments. Thus far in FY2013, 394 mice have been distributed and 1 germplasm shipment completed.

The NCI Mouse Repository distributes live animals or cryopreserved germplasm for 132 genetically engineered mouse strains. Fortynine of the strains are maintained as live colonies.
