NCI’s National Cancer Informatics Program Promotes Open Software Development

The National Cancer Informatics Program (NCIP) of the NCI Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (NCI CBIIT) is in the process of migrating the source code of applications developed as part of the cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG) program into GitHub, a popular code-hosting site, in order to facilitate the continued community-driven development of these assets.  The cancer Models Database (caMOD) is among the applications that have already been transferred into this open-development environment. CBIIT is maintaining a reference implementation of caMOD.
