Lung did contain macroscopic tumor lesions

Annotations:

Neuroendocrine carcinoma
Large tumor mass with necrosis substitutes most of the lung parenchyma. The neoplastic cells are small to medium size, with scant cytoplasm, and granular nuclear chromatin. Cells are densely packed and arranged in nesting pattern. Mitoses are frequent. Metastasis in the regional lymph nodes.
